The Spur-Thighed Tortoise (Testudo graeca), also known as the Greek Tortoise, is a small to medium-sized species native to North Africa, Southern Europe and Asia. They are hardy, long-lived tortoises that require a dry, well-ventilated habitat and a high-fibre diet. Spur-thighed tortoises are popular among reptile enthusiasts due to their manageable size and engaging personalities. Adults grow to 15–25 cm and have an average lifespan of at least 50-80 years.
