Crickets

Crickets are the main staple food for most smaller lizards. The crickets we stock are the silent brown crickets, which is a small brown cricket which comes in a range of sizes. Crickets are rich in protein and when gut-loaded with nutrition prior to feeding your lizard they can become the basis for your reptiles diet.

These common desert locusts are available as a food for lizards. Locusts are larger than crickets and tend to be better suited for larger reptiles. Arboreal lizards such as Chameleons can benefit from locusts as they are more likely to scale into the higher areas of vivariums. They are also a good insect for gut-loading in order to give your reptile a balanced, nutritious diet.

Mealworms

Mealworms aren't actually worms at all, they're the larval form of the mealworm beetle. They're often used as an alternative food for lizards, usually as a treat once in a while. They have a high protein content and if you feed and water the worms 12 hours before feeding them to your lizard then your lizard will get the nutritional value of the foods it may not be keen on eating straight.

They are also a great choice for putting inside bird feeders.

Wax Worms

Wax worms are the larval form of the wax moth. They have a high fat content which makes them ideal for bulking up lizards or as a special treat. They are predominantly used for feeding Geckos.

Calci Worms

Calci worms are the larval form of the black soldier fly. Their high calcium ratio provides strong nutritional benefit to most lizards along with their high protein content.

Silk Worms

Silk worms are the larval form of the silk moth. Silk worms are one of the most nutritious foods available for reptiles.

Lob Worms

Lob worms are a large juicy worms that are perfect for feeding amphibians but can also make a nice treat for most reptiles if you can get them interested.
