Green anoles (Anolis carolinensis) are small, arboreal lizards native to the southeastern United States and the Caribbean.
Adult green anoles typically reach 5 to 8 inches in length, with males being slightly larger than females. With proper care, green anoles can live for 4 to 8 years in captivity.
They are known for their bright green coloration, and the males' distinctive pink throat fan, or dewlap.
